At Hikka Tranz by Cinnamon, sightseeing can become so compulsive that we may have to remind you to catch up on your tan, but for those adventurers who really want to get to grips with the soul of Sri Lanka, there are endless possibilities.

Nature Trails Excursions

Trained Cinnamon Nature Trails naturalists will guide you through all there is to discover. Go whale watching or hop on the rainforest trail at Hikka Tranz By Cinnamon.

River Excursions

  • Explore the Madu River and the Rathgama Lagoon during your stay.

Other adventures include:

Gastronomy:

  • If our many eclectic dining venues don’t do it for you, ask us and we’ll set up a private BBQ on the beach, complete with your own personal chef for a heady, gastronomic experience outdoors.
  • For the couple on vacation, we can set up a special champagne breakfast for you in your room or private balcony.

Relaxation:

  • While we’re the party central, we also believe that big doses of relaxation are required in-between the late nights.
  • Give yourself a day off and head to the Azmaara Spa on the 5th floor for a heightened experience all the way. Specialized Balinese therapists will immerse you in a series of treatments that will relax and revitalize you.
  • Take a dip in our big resort pool and bring the kids along to the nearby kids’ pool so the whole family can have some downtime.
  • Spend adequate time on your private balconies: The daily performance of sun meeting horizon is bound to do wonders for the soul.
  • We have a host of little relaxation spots and secluded alcoves spread out across the resort. Find your spot, bring a book, order a cocktail and lose yourself in the magic of Hikkaduwa.

Legend tells that during the mythical war between the Great Ravana, King of Ceylon, and King Ram of India, the much venerated Monkey King Hanuman rushed to the Himalayas to bring urgently needed medicinal plants to treat their sick. As the King was not sure which plant was needed, he brought with him a piece of the Himalayas and dropped parts of this in Rumassala and Ritigala.

Amazingly, even today, the plant life and vegetation at these magical mountains does not resemble those found besides the mountain in adjacent areas. It’s a location from which you have almost a bird’s eye view of the scenic Galle harbour and much more in terms of temples, lifestyle and the breath-taking Southern Seas of Lanka.
