If you wish to enjoy the true essence of life, you might want to try living in the countryside. Well, if you’re at Habarana Village by Cinnamon, you’ll do that anyway. Being close to nature, around wildlife and not too far from the village folk is quite endearing. You might rethink the purpose of a busy, urban life.
Soak it all in.
Bird and Butterfly Trail
The ecosystem around us at Habarana Village was carefully designed to invite nature in all forms. Thankfully, nature responded in a chirpy, colourful pattern. 48 species of birds and 50 different kinds of butterflies flock around in our abode seasonally. So, make the most of it when you’re here. Wake up a little early in the morning and take a walk around our expansive gardens and spot them freely going about their business.

Five decades ago, a British naval officer’s love for trees resulted in an arboretum in our island country. Built across seven acres at that time, it spread to over 34 acres after he gifted it to IFS (Institute of Fundamental Studies). Today, Sam Popham’s Arboretum is home to several species of birds, butterflies, dragonflies and mammals, including the rare, nocturnal Slender Loris, which is native to Sri Lanka and India.
