Get up close and personal with the local wildlife, discover a rare species of bird, take a boat ride, learn a traditional craft or travel back in time to a bygone era. Every excursion organized by us is an eye-opening and awe-inspiring.

Adventure:

Kandy City Tour

Discover the old world charm of the last Sinhala Kingdom, from majestic pageants, to ancient Buddhist shrines and museums. Visit the Dalada Maligawa, one of the most sacred of Buddhist temples and home to the ancient Tooth Relic of the Buddha. Take a walk down the historic streets of this old city and let the heady mix of traditional Kandyan and colonial architecture take you back in time. It’s time travel at its best.

Visit to Kala Pura Crafts Village

Witness the talent and skill of local craftsmen, and travel back to a simpler time at this village designed to preserve traditional art and culture. Immerse yourself in the local culture by talking to the locals and even partaking in some of the activities. If at all, you’ll only return with a skill added to your resume.

Riverboat Ride

Take a quiet boat ride down the mighty Mahaweli River. You’ll be accompanied by an experienced boatman who might also double as live commentator on the amazing show nature puts on for you. Look into your binoculars and discover several rare and exotic species of birds as you make your way along the river. And don’t forget to look up at the awe-inspiring mountain range in the distance. It’s as close to nature as you can get.

Nature Trails Excursions

Nature walk or cultural odyssey? You decide. Visit our Nature Trails Desk and discover a range of excursions led by experienced naturalists and guides to some of the most memorable experiences in the island. Visit the beautiful and historic Peradeniya Botanical Gardens, befriend and feed a baby jumbo at the Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage, head further up country and visit a tea plantation in Nuwara Eliya or, as the English used to call it – Little England, or simply click a few pictures of a picturesque waterfall in the vicinity.
