Whale-watching at Mirissa
Whale Watching – Mirissa ~
Holidays are defined by late mornings. But, when you’re staying with us at Hikka Tranz, so close to the marvellous dolphins and whales, you’ll make an exception. And you won’t regret it. In fact, it’s going to be the only time when watching someone do breakfast, will leave you agape with wonder. Yes, these beautiful creatures gather and dive in and out of the sea, eating their first meal of the day together. This simple activity of theirs, looks like an impeccable rehearsed performance.
Dolphins in large pods will come and swim very close to your boat. Spinner dolphins, will specifically be very playful. Their proximity will get your heart racing, not because of fear, but overwhelming awe. Seeing their grey bodies dip in and out of the deep blue waters is also quite a sight.
If you happen to spot a blue whale, at first you’ll be amazed by how gigantic it is. When it exhales it spurts out a little fountain of water, which feels like an adorable quirk of a mammal that large.
Whale-watching at Mirissa is an experience of a lifetime. That is why, we’ll tell you a secret – first let your eyes take in all the beauty, so that the heart can take you back when you need a flashback. Then, capture it on your camera lens.
Whale watching season: Mid-November to Mid-April
