Whale Watching in Mirissa
Whale Watching – Mirissa ~
Holidays are defined by late mornings. But, when you’re staying with us at Hikka Tranz, so close to the marvellous dolphins and whales, you’ll make an exception. These beautiful creatures gather and dive in and out of the sea, eating their first meal of the day together and simple activity of theirs, looks like an impeccable rehearsed performance.
Dolphins in large pods are bound to come and swim very close to your boat. Spinner dolphins in particular are very playful. Their proximity will get your heart racing of overwhelming awe. Seeing their grey bodies dip in and out of the deep blue waters is also quite a sight.
If you happen to spot a blue whale, at first you’ll be amazed by how gigantic it is. When it exhales it spurts out a little fountain of water, which feels like an adorable quirk of a mammal that large. Whale-watching at Mirissa is an experience of a lifetime.
Whale watching season: Mid-November to Mid-April
