Midnight's Children is an allegorical novel by Salman Rushdie, published in 1981. It chronicles the intertwined fates of two children born within the first hour of India's independence from Great Britain. The novel skillfully weaves history, myth, and storytelling techniques, focusing on Saleem, who is born at the stroke of midnight on August 15, 1947, when India declares its independence. The story was adapted into an epic film directed by Deepa Mehta, with parts filmed in Sri Lanka. 

The event includes light refreshments and is hosted by Oscar Nominated Film Director & Producer, Deepa Mehta.

  • Tickets are valid only for HSBC Premier Credit and Debit cardholders. 
  • Each ticket is valid for single entry by one (1) individual only. 
  • The event will be from 10am onwards on the 31st of May. 
  • The ticket is inclusive of light refreshments during the screening. 
  • Tickets are non transferable and non refundable. 
  • Attendees must present a valid ticket (either printed or digital) for entry. 
  • Attendees must be present at the venue at least 15 minutes prior to the screening.  
  • Disruptive behaviour may result in expulsion from the event without refund. 
  • Photography and videography will not be allowed during the screening.
