Experience the magic of the Indian Ocean with a whale watching excursion from Whale Paradise Cruise or one of the many local operators based in Mirissa, Sri Lanka. Departing early in the morning from Mirissa Harbour, these tours take you several miles offshore in search of giant blue whales, sperm whales, dolphins and other marine life in their natural habitat. The journey typically lasts 3–5 hours, offering scenic ocean views and opportunities for photography and marine observation, guided by knowledgeable crews and supported by responsible wildlife-friendly practices. Sightings are most frequent between November and April, when the waters are calm and the whale migration is at its peak.
